Collective Arts
Tier 2
Summary
Bottom Line – One of the best breweries I’ve been to. Huge menu with great beers. Interesting layout and good location.
This brewery was unscheduled, and I’m so glad it happened. See, the dummies we are, we looked up the Blue Jays game time while in Texas and didn’t realize it started at 3 (not 2). So, when we realized we had an extra hour, I found the closest brewery that was well rated and rushed there. This was a great choice. Collective Arts has a cool facade to the building with a decent size patio and taproom. The selection was medium size but had good style variance. No food except a vendor outside (who by the way was hilarious). The big seller for me was the pastry stout (which was maybe the best beer I had in Toronto). My 3 other beers were good too, though not nearly to the level of that stout. The two guys working were both extremely friendly and helpful (gave us tips for the Jays game). I wouldn’t recommend everyone walk from there to downtown, but it is doable, so that means the location was a little better than a lot of the good breweries in Toronto. Ultimately, I could see myself visiting again due to the exceptional beer I had, good location, and great people.
